Every year Swiss wine producers compete to be named the best ones in the industry. Winners are annually announced during the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse organized by VINEA and VINUM, The European Wine Magazine.

This year, la Cave de la Côte à Tolochenaz (Vaud) got a title of the best wine producer (Cave de l’année 2019) in Switzerland. The winners were announced during the ceremony on the 24th of October. They were also awarded for the best Chasselas wines.

Every year more than 550 producers register their wines to compete for Grand Prix du Vin Suisse.

In 2019, 3254 wines from 544 producers from 21 cantons were listed in the contest. From 24 to 29 June more than 150 experts compared quality of wines presented in 13 categories of the competition. During the final stage 80 wines impressed members of the Jury. Overall, 39 wineries from all cantons received their awards.
