A member of the Swiss Federal Council Karin Keller Sutter confirmed total border opening with France, Germany and Austria on 15th June 2020.

According to LeMatin.ch Swiss Federal Government examined the situation with the neighbors and concluded the possibilities of opening if the sanitary situation does not become worse.

They also have doubts about opening the borders with Italy because the situation in the country is still difficult.

In the fight against COVID-19, Switzerland closed around 130 border crossing points on Tuesday, 17 March 2020.
