Lake Thun Festival
Every summer since 2003 Switzerland hosts international musical event in the canton of Bern. Lake Thun Music Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year is the Lake Thun Festival.
The Lake Thun Festival ranks among the top open-air festivals in Europe. This music festival is held between Interlaken and Thun, two popular tourist destinations in the Canton of Bern. Each year, this festival is held on a beautiful floating stage (constructed specifically for this event) and transforms the city into one enormous music venue with street bars, cafes, and stands.
For the past 15 years, award-winning musicals from all over the world and original productions have been held at this festival. The festival’s program is also very diverse, and ranges from Broadway classics and international hit musicals to original works, rock, and pop music. In the past, the Lake Thun Festival has played host to well-known musicals such as Cats, Evita, and West Side Story.
The festival is arranged into different zones for families with children and partygoers. There is also a concert zone in front the spectacular backdrop of Lake Thun, the Eiger, the Mönch, and the Jungfrau.
