Geneva Is A World’s Home For Ultramillionaires
Switzerland is traditionally among the leader countries chosen by dollar millionaires for living. According to 20min.ch, in Switzerland one in twenty-five inhabitants has a fortune of at least 1 million francs (~1 million dollars), a record in the world.
At the end of 2018, Switzerland had a total of 331,686 millionaires, up 12% from 2013. The country of the Alps is at the 8th place in the world after the United States, Japan, China, Germany, Great Britain, Canada and France.
In 2018, 10% of world’s ultrariche people with a fortune up to 30 million dollars were counted in Switzerland (4,768 from 42,000). Proportionally to its population, Geneva has the most ultrariche (1,344 people) in the world, behind Monaco.
It is expected that over the next five years, India will see the strongest growth (+ 39%), ahead of the Philippines (+ 38%) and China (+ 35%).
