Amazon.com Stops Delivering to Switzerland

Thinking about Christmas presents for your friends and relatives? Start planning. Online shopping giant stops delivering to Switzerland directly from the USA. This will happen starting from 26th December.

Goods ordered before 26th December would be delivered. The only way to order gifts from Amazon is to use its EU platforms such as amazon.fr, amazon.de or amazon.co.uk.

According to The Locals.ch, the estimated costs of all goods ordered from the USA are about CHF 65m compared with CHF 575 as of costs for deliveries from amazon.de. The online giant has made the decision in the wake of changes to Switzerland’s value-added tax (VAT) due to come in next year.
