Valais is a canton in the South of Switzerland. Its capital is the city of Sion. In Valais people speak German and French. Valais is famous for its ski-resorts such as Zermatt, Crans-Montana and Verbier and the Matterhorn pyramid peak. Valais borders with cantons of Vaud, Bern, Uri and Ticino. It is also the biggest supplier of Swiss wines onto domestic market.
