Valais is a canton in the South of Switzerland. Its capital is the city of Sion. Valais is famous for its ski-resorts such as Zermatt, Saas-Fee, Crans-Montana and Verbier and the Matterhorn pyramid peak.  The canton of Valais borders with the cantons of Vaud and Bern and also Uri and Ticino.

The canton of Valais is billingual. They speak German and French. It is also the biggest supplier of Swiss wines onto domestic market.
