This canton is a homeland of the Swiss cheese and chocolate makers. Lugano is the third largest financial center in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva. Banking sector generates around 17% of Ticino’s GDP. The canton of Ticino borders with Italy and the cantons of Valais, Uri and Graubunden.
